I deleted my viewing history in Opera, and then I emptied the cache. Yet when I next visited dicksportinggoods.com, the search box listed my recent searches. Clearly Opera is saving information in some hidden way. I did not experience this issue with Firefox. Please explain how to delete all of my footprints in Android.

@etienne53 And what about other Chromium based browsers?

@etienne53 go to Settings then Clear Browser History, you will see a lot more options to clean history then just fast clearing on exit.

Clear browsing history along with cache to clear Opera history.
Or uninstall Opera and then reinstall. On reinstalling before you use it, clear the history and cache.
Moreover, another way to delete it manually is to place the pointer over a suggested item and
Press Shift + Del and it will be deleted.

@naheed I suggest that is only done when no other option.

First go into settings and go to clear browser history and you see many more options to clean.

@ginger1984 Yes, you are right. Uninstalling and then reinstalling Opera is always a last option.
That's why I have suggested various ways to remove history.
