What do I need to do to remove it? They give instructions for chrome and FF, but not Opera.

@fraidyman What would be that? If it's an extension, you do like any other: Go to the extensions manager page and click on the X next to the extension name.

It is a stip of social media icons down the left margin, which only appears sometimes. It obscures the first few letter of each text line. It does not show as an addon or as an extension.
