Autofill Passwords??

Does Opera not have the ability to autofill passwords? I am finding that I have to manually enter my user names and passwords to access certain sites and accounts.
If Opera has the ability to autofill, is there a setting I need to turn on to have this function?

@ssb1951 Yes, Opera can auto-fill passwords, as long as the page allows it.

@leocg And how do I get that function to happen. I have logged on to a specific site several times and each time I have to manually enter the auto-fill password and id.
Also, will the Mac OS keychain function automatically work? I have created several new accounts and have not found keychain to activate either.

@ssb1951 Were you asked to save your login data on those sites?

@leocg Not sure. I also use 1Password to keep all my logins and that usually kicks in on Safari to ask about saving the information. I know that has not happened when using Opera.
I am trying to make the change from Safari to Opera. I like everything about Opera but this function.

@ssb1951 In opera://settings/passwords, there are any passwords saved?
Regarding 1password, maybe you need to install the extension for Opera.

@leocg Installing the 1Password extension for Opera was one of the very first things I did.

@ssb1951 did you enable saving passwords? i remember having this problem and I think it was because saving passwords wasn't allowed or something of the sort.

I could not find a specific place to enable saving passwords. Where would I find that?

Thanks. That lead directly to 1Password within Opera and I did have that enabled.

I have just had to do a complete, clean re-install of MacOS 10.15.7 on my iMac. Opera is my go-to browser, but having installed it, I cannot find a way to install the 1Password extension. In the past I could install it from the Chrome store, but that no longer seems to be giving the option to install in Opera, only Firefox, Safari and Brave.
Advice please?

@xiamenese Opera attempts to install its extension called "Install Chrome Extensions" v2. 5.9 by Opera Software. If you enable it, you will be able to download and use the 1Password extension from the Chrome store.
