Opera & Package Installer

When using Opera normally, it is suspicious as it opens the Package Installer.
Is this part of the 'adding promoted speed-dial' behaviour, maybe?

Usually "package installer" would be Linux, though it is still rather vague - you mean dpkg, apt, rpm or any of half a dozen others? Which distro, which desktop, etc.?

Most likely it is looking for an appropriate version of the chromium media codecs package (whatever name that has on your system; often something like codecs-chromium-extra). Though with the lack of information, who knows?
