What determines the VPN exit node? I'm in the USA, but my phone's VPN exit node is in Indonesia.

opera max is not a typical vpn, but acts more like a semi-transparent web proxy.

"exit"ip (basically your web proxy) is determined by proximity and load balancing, my guess.

That doesn't explain why a phone in the USA would be consistently handled by a "web proxy" with an Indonesian IP address. That seems rather far afield for mere load balancing.

How did you check that the IP is from Indonesia?

Plus, the Google services (Google.com, Google Play, https://myaccount.google.com/device-activity) think this phone is in Indonesia.
