When viewing a large document I use the find on page feature to search a word, but it's not clear that the browser is doing anything for about 10 seconds until results appear. I assumed there are no matches and close the find box.

A spinner, or other indication of activity, would be useful when a find query is submitted and the results are yet to be displayed. Preferably in the space reserved for search result summary text like "1 of 16" or "No matches found"

Also on a large document, sometimes when I start a second search I see incorrect status text on the find on page bar, such as "0 of 1" or "16 of 0" until the task completes

Suggestion:
Add a spinner to the "find on page" bar when the browser is indexing/searching the page. The spinner could be where the search results summary is.

Justifications:

• When searching a large page there is no indication of activity
• User may assume there are no results when its still searching
• Stale/wrong search result summary could be replaced by spinner (e.g. "0 of 1" or "16 of 0") instead of fixed

@leocg I couldn't find a way to edit my original post for clarification after you suggested that my suggestion wasn't a suggestion, so I posted again a clearer suggestion to make it more obvious that the suggestion is in fact a suggestion and suitable for the suggestions category
