When I start typing a url in the address bar, opera gives me some suggestions from my history or from my bookmarks.

I don't want any suggestion. Is there a setting for this ?

"Show Speed Dial suggestions" is Off.
"Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address ba" is Off.

      Thanks!

For me to. Opera is useless with this happen every time. If there is no solution against this nonsense the time I was using Opera is over. It's a waste of time to be directed to pages you don't like to visit.

I liked Opera very much but I can't work with this Browser any more if there is any solution.

@tf99 You can remove the pages from bookmarks and History if you don't want them to be suggested.

@leocg This must be a joke. You are saying to delete history frequently and delete bookmarks because opera has a problem...

@andrei89 It's not a problem? Why would it be on your bookmark if you don't want to access it? All they do is recommend what you've accessed. It's not a problem, it's logic.

@jori It is a problem. Saving websites urls to bookmarks doens't mean I want to acces those websites when opera says I may want to access. It's my bookmarks. I chose when I want to access them. That's the correct logic. And if I'm wrong, then why didn't opera put an option for that ? Is still not a problem for you ? Well, look the real problem here: https://forums.opera.com/topic/39719/first-search-suggestion-is-always-chosen

Opera has a problem. If opera had an option for stop showing the bookmarks and the history, then the real problem wouldn't exist.

@andrei89 What problem? Just because it doesn't do what you want, doesn't mean that there's a problem..

It's more than natural to think that someone who has bookmarked a page would like to have that page suggested when searching for something similar.

@andrei89 That is a completely different issue and there are topics discussing it already.

@leocg said in Stop address bar suggestions/predictions!:

That doesn't work! Since one of the last Opera updates this problem! happens every time using the adressline. When you say that is no problem an Opera will do nothing against this nonsense, it's time to leave!

@leocg Ok, if you really mean there is no problem an do this sort of waiting game than Opera really comes to an end for me. I liked it much but can't use it any more because of a stupi failure an a Moderator playing games instead of helping.

If Opera doesn't even accept that this is a problem, than Chrome or Firefox will be in use for the future.

@tf99 Like I said, that is a different issue from the one being discussed in this topic. There are already topics to discuss that other issue, that seems to be a bug.
