Transaction with PayPal made automatically?

I use Opera with DuckDuckGo. A very odd thing happened the other day which has never happened to me before. I bought some items on Wayfair and the transaction using PayPal completed without giving me the usual login to PayPal window. It was over before I could cancel out. Obviously I don't have passwords saved and Wayfair confirmed that they do not have a PayPal password saved on my account — I can confirm that as I saw no sign of any payment details being saved on my Wayfair account. Am I missing something obvious? It did seem very weird that such a thing could happen. If anyone can shine any light on this it would be much appreciated.

@calamityjane Have you ever bought something in that site before, using PayPal? If so, maybe you have authorized payments to be processed automatically?

Many thanks for your reply. Yes I bought from them once before. How would I know whether payments are processed with them automatically. Is that a PayPal setting? There is no record in my Wayfair account of any authorised payment. More importantly, do you think I can reverse this?
