[Solved]YouTube no sound

YouTube is silent. Other sound sources work ok. If I download the video and play it on Movies & TV the sound is good. Is there a setting I missed?

Does opera://media-internals/ shows anything unusual about the audio?

Even when you are playing the video?

If you right click on the video, does it say that you are using html5?

There were a few mysteries in opera 44.0.2510.857 so I completely removed it and reinstalled 44.0.2510.1159. Works much better all around. Youtube has an audio icon which mutes and unmutes; I thought it was a volume control so ignored it. Problem solved.
