VPN not used each time Opera restarted

I am having a problem with Opera NOT using the VPN when I start Opera at the begining of a session.

I can fix this for that session by going to settings, turning off VPN and then turning it on again.

However, I really need it to use the VPN all the time (unless I actually turn it off.

It would be good if I could also choose the Country or IP from previous ones used (if Opera kept a log on my computer of say the last 30 sessions). Mostly they seem to be in Canada or Europe.

Here the VPN starts automatically if I have closed Opera with it turned on.

Since Off / On the VPN solves the problem, the DNS may be it's not problem.

BTW, Cmd > Ipconfig /flushdns could be tried.

Try and test cleaning the cache, Ctrl + Shift + Del
