@Mottanoi If there are enough requests and if the developers think that it's worth implementing them, maybe then they could add those features.

@Mottanoi Right click on the bookmark > Open in new tab. Or press Ctrl while clicking on it.

@leocg He likely means from the Bookmarks Bar.

I second that being able to (1) double-click a tab to close it, and (2) having bookmarks open in a new tab by clicking on them in the Bookmarks Bar would be welcome additions to Opera -- at least making these options would be nice.

As for workarounds for (1), we have Alt-click to close a tab, middle mouse button click to close a tab, mouse gesture to close a tab, Ctrl-W to close a tab or customize any keyboard shortcut to close a tab -- I simply have customized my Opera to close a tab by simply pressing W. There is even a sidebar extension called V7 Tabs that allows one to double click the tab in the sidebar to close the page. Not too bad for options there.

As for workarounds for (2), there is the possibility to middle-click an item in the Bookmarks Bar to open in a new tab.

I don't consider right-clicking and selecting from a context menu for these sorts of things to be a true preferred alternative.

That i said, I know any techniques for close the tab and open bookmark but I still wonder why these features were not built-in in the browser while many of browsers can include them already that I think it will make convinent to use more becoz I prefer to use Opera for some reason
