How frequently does Opera update the app

I was using Chrome before trying Opera and with Chrome it was fairly regularly updated in the background. Since Opera is based on Chromium I was wondering how quickly Opera is updated for security issues compared to Chrome? In other words once Chrome is updated would Opera be updated soon afterwards or are the updates for these two products completely independent of each other? I can not find any change logs for the current version of Opera for Windows to see how frequently it has been updated. Thanks.
