      Going to
      https://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2019/12/opera-65-0-3467-78-stable-update/

I am presented with the details shown on the attached pic. Do the social media icons pay to appear on Opera ? Why am I asked to download Opera for Windows when I'm on it !

I only have one extension Opera adblocker with it set to default values also I have not enabled the do not track feature.

Do you have opera://flags/#chromium-ua-compatibility turned on?

For the social media links on the blog post pages, they're just to share the blog post. I guess Opera could have a deal with those networks, but I don't know. Are you expecting a share link for other social media sites like Reddit?

@mike88 The most common thing nowadays is to see social networks buttons on pages, to allow sharing its contents more easily.

I havn't checked opera://flags/#chromium-ua-compatibility as I am not using Opera on this particular machine. Also I have made no changes from the default flags. As for the social media icons, aren't they also (allegedly) some kind of "beacon" to snoop on users ?

@mike88 It seems that the button to download Opera appears for everyone.
