[Solved] Opera doesn't sync

I have two Windows computers. The computers are both running Win 7 Pro. They are not only
on the same network, they are in the same room, about 6 feet apart. They are both running Opera 42.0, and the "Signed in as:" line on the "O menu" drop-downs on
both computers refer to the same, correct, e-mail account. The documentation says Opera should sync:
"Opera for computers: bookmarks, tabs, Speed Dial, settings, history, and passwords."
None of these sync.I have been searching the documentation/FYI's for about two hours now and have found no solution
to this problem that works. The instuctions say:
"Sign in and out of your Opera account . . . "
I have signed out of my account on each machine, closed Opera, re-opened it and signed in.". . . Use the Opera account button located to the right of the combined search and address bar
to sign in to your Opera account. When you're signed in successfully, the button will display a
green check mark. This check mark indicates that Opera is syncing your browsing data
to your account."
I signed on and the drop-downs on each machine had the correct green checkmarks.I also followed the instructions and looked in Settings/Browser/Advanced and the following have
checkmarks next to them on both machines:
Bookmarks, History, Passwords, Settings, Open Tabs, and the "Encrypt only synced passwords
with my Opera credentials" is checked too.I love the Vivaldi browser but decided to use Opera because, other than attempting to
copy directories between the machines constantly, there was no way to sync Vivaldi.
And syncing is one of Opera's selling points.Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong (and where I could have found
that information?)Thanks,
Bill Dollison

Do you see your synced data at https://sync.opera.com/web/ ?

Yes I do (Sorry about taking so long to respond. For some reason, when I go to the Opera Forums page using Opera, the page just re-loads constantly.)

No "Other Speed Dials" in Bookmarks (no Speed Dials at all in Bookmarks)
The list there is:
[heart] Show all bookmarks Ctrl+Shift+B
[checkmark] Show bookmarks bar
Add to bookmarks Ctrl+D
[folder icon] My Folders > bookmarks imported from Chrome, followed by
[file icon] imported from IE (1)
[file icon] Imported (1)
[file icon] Imported (2)
[file icon] Imported from Firefox
[file icon] Other bookmarks
[file icon] Mobile bookmarks
[folder icon] Bookmarks bar > [3 bookmarks on bar]
[folder icon] Imported bookmarks >Imported from Chrome > [long list of Chrome bookmarks]
[folder icon] Trash -

"All bookmarks" shows the same set of bookmarks in the same order on both computers.
As I said, both computers show my correct e-mail as "signed in as", I only have one account and the bookmarks match.
When I add a bookmark, it shows on both computers almost immediately

No, I tried that and it didn't work -- different tabs on the browsers. So I closed both browsers and started them up again and the tabs on each are still different.
There's something wrong with one of the browsers, though. As I said earlier, if I try to view this thread on, call it A, it keeps loading the page, time and time again. (At last count, it showed 236 views of this thread!) Works fine on "B", though.
Do you think I should try uninstalling/reinstalling Opera on that one?

You are looking at the tabs menu, right? Tabs opened in one Opera will not automatically appear in another Opera's tab bar.
As I said earlier, if I try to view this thread on, call it A, it keeps loading the page, time and time again.
It was due to a bug in the forum. Clear cookies and cache and it should work.

My ignorance is showing once again. I don't know where the tab MENU is. I don't see it in settings and there doesn't appear to be any way to show it in the menu bar because, well, there doesn't appear to be any way to display the menu bar. (Right clicking on the tab bar doesn't show that as an option.)
Clear cookies and cache and it should work.
This DID work, thanks

I found the Tabs menu you're talking about. In it is a toggled drop-down "Other devices" list that shows my iPhone and the three pages open in that. But nothing about the other instance of Opera on the other machine.

I apologize once again for taking so long to reply. Now that I'm a little more acclimated to Opera, I think I understand the processes above better. I have found the online sync listings for open tags/speed dials etc. on the other machine. They still don't actually sync with each other, but they're accessible, which is the important part. I would LIKE to have the same Speed dial on both, but perhaps it's better to do that manually (so a delete on one doesn't necessarily delete the Speed Dial on the other.) Anyway, I thank you for your help and patience.

Feature Needed: Speed Dial Workspace Settings save feature (to then import/save) in my Opera account for applying to all my devices - Manually. I don't trust this "syncrhonization" crap you've offered, which apparently I wouldn't claim as one of my products to be honest with you.
This is pretty lame.Oh, I have five or so devices/computers, and I prefer browsing using opera.
My start page is the speed dial page.
I've arranged my speed dials, selected, added them.
Now, oh so wonder Opera developers, WTF?
It's simple, allow for a export speed dial feature, have that exported "master settings" or "settings No 1" be saved in my wonderful opera account you allowed me to create so you can track my shit.
Then, I can log in, and select what I want to use for my speed dial settings by using the configuration I just saved.
If I have to reverse engineer where you save my settings in Opera now, then hack them into the other devices, well, I'll patent that process and add it as an extension myself.
You get the drift, make it happen. I'm too busy.
