I've seen MP4, WebM, and some others on Downloader Extensions/UserScrips for YouTube.Despite that, the codec would still be h264. I don't know and didn't tested, but not sure if those can use h264. zalex108 last edited by@thegeneral said in what video playback codecs are supported in opera?: @zalex108 oh saw in the new update so wanted to know what it was I saw it as a Flag and for some Mac users fixed high CPU problems on video. Didn't read recent changelogs. "You cannot know the meaning of your life until you are connected to the power that created you". · Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

zalex108 last edited by@leocg said in what video playback codecs are supported in opera?: @zalex108 Those are containers and not codecs. Didn't said they are. Just about h264 onto them, and seems that WebM don't. "You cannot know the meaning of your life until you are connected to the power that created you". · Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

My problem seems similar to yours.https://forums.opera.com/topic/36190/high-cpu-usage-watching-youtube I came to the conclusion that there is something wrong with the sound in the latest version of the opera.
