How to re-enable the status url pane?

For some reason, the URL status pane has not been visible on my Opera version for a long time. I have searched the forum and the most common reply is "reset all settings to default", which I feel is a bit sloppy.
I have gone through every setting, I feel meticulously but maybe I'm wrong, and I cannot find anything specific to the status pane for URLs. (By which I mean when you have over a link, the true URL shows.)
Can anyone provide more concrete advice on bringing it back as opposed to just default reset everything?

Maybe an extension?

When you hover over the link, is it not showing at all or does it flash for a less than a second and disappear? What version of Opera are you using? Goto the URL
