[Solved]Cannot be made default browser

ERROR: This is a secondary installation of Opera, and cannot be made your default browser

STEPS TAKEN:

1. I remove standard Opera for Windows and install Opera Portable ver 63.0.3368.94
   then I can't make it as default browser. Error message above
2. If I click hyperlink in Evernote, it will automatically open that link in Opera but now nothing happen. I think this caused because Opera is not default browser

@nbctcp It's a Windows limitation, portable apps can't be set as default ones.

You can use http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/register-firefox-portable-with-default-programs-in-vista for example to make launcher.exe in the portable install the default browser. The description in Default Apps/Programs in Windows will say "Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition", but you can change that by editing it in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\FirefoxPortable\Capabilities" in the registry.

There are probably other browser launchers out there that will allow you to do the same.
