What is the significance of a pink fill within the "bookmark" heart on the menu bar ?

What is the significance of a blue dot on the "Personal News" icon on the sidebar menu ?

Easy to visualize. At the upper right on the menu bar a see the outline of a heart (icon) which I left-click to bookmark the web-site on my screen. Sometimes the heart is solid pink. Why?

@gp123 Since there's no menu bar in Opera, I guess you mean the address bar?
The fully red heart icon means that the page is already bookmarked.
