[Solved]Opera stopped working after last update

I just returned from vacation, and my Opera browser no longer works. It shows in my programs as Opera Stable updated August 13. I am running Windows 10 on an Acer-1080 Intel Core 3 computer. I was able to download a new copy of the program from the Opera site, and it works fine again. Would it be more reliable if I turn off automatic updates and update it manually in the future? I have not had this problem on my older computers.

Just throw it on the ground. Opera is in a process of decay. It has been for years.
