How to stop Opera from making desktop shortcuts?

I'm not sure why - I assume after receiving updates - Opera periodically puts a shortcut to itself on the Desktop. I don't need that shortcut, that behavior is annoying and I'd like to know how to disable it.
Win 10 x64.

Hello all. Not sure when this started but seems fairly recently as I've never noticed it before during Opera use over the last few years. Opera keeps adding a shortcut to my desktop. I'll delete it and a few days later it will be back.
Is there anyway to prevent this?
