This may seem trivial but after installing an update of Adobe FlashPlayer, which also installed Chrome without asking, my Opera icon went missing and my default web browser was changed to Chrome. This is very annoying and I wonder what else this update affected.
Does anyone know how to recover the icon and is there an alternative to FlashPlayer?

      Thanks
      Pete, South Island, New Zealand.

          Pete, how come?

          1. What is your system specifications?
          2. Were you the administrator on your workstation?
          3. Which way did you update the FlashPlayer? Tell us exactly what you did.
          4. Is the Opera browser still on your system?

Additional question: which antimalware and cleaning software are you using there?

If you updated your Flashplayer from the Adobe download site it will kindly? download and set Chrome as your default browser unless you deselect the option. Your solution may be as simple as going into your Window settings and reset Opera as your default browser, you may also need to recreate your desktop icon. If this fails then you may need to reinstall Opera and if you choose uninstall Chrome.
