"Out of memory" error

I'm using Opera Developer 42.0.2372.0 on Windows 10 - ever since the recent Opera update I've been getting "out of memory" page crash error. My computer has plenty of memory and it doesn't seem to show a memory spike in system resources.

This is the forum for the Stable version of Opera, not the Developer version. Try on it's board. It might be a known bug for all we know.

Try checking Opera's task manager to see what may be causing the issue.

It happens regularly - I just looked at the task manager, what am I looking for? It seems to happen on any page - it even happens sometimes when I open speed-dial, ie a blank page. I have to close and reopen Opera for it to go away.

Is VPN on? There seem to be a known bug regarding memory leak that is related to VPN.

This error is very boring. Try leveling videos on google photos (more than 10, each with more than 1GB in size.)
It will take a while and the error will appear.
