In that case, you can experience new innovative features; It is hoped that the modified version based on Opera Beta/Dev will be introduced, and the development of experimental new features in the GX game browser will be added. We hope to consider adopting and make a more perfect GX game browser.

@whyule2019 GX is a stable release, so it can't be based on beta or developer versions of Opera.
Maybe one day they will release GX beta and developer.

It is reported by several click research companies: for security reasons, use a more secure browser based on the Chromium 76.0 core or 77.0, while Opera GX is based on 73.0, so I hope; Next, there is a Opera GX browser based on Chromium 76.0 / 77.0 / 78.0 to follow up on this issue. Otherwise, the browser can not be used as a full primary browser. I hope you know this.

Opera GX is based on our normal stable branch of Opera. While we are still in Early Access it focuses on our new features and we don't really want feedback for instability and bugs of our development branches. As for updating to new chromium - we will follow chromium just as normal Opera Stable does, though due to some issues it will be delayed about a week this time.
