Opera does not remember/save the site/tab that I had muted.
After restarting opera, the previous mute tab setting is not saved for that site. Please fix this, cos I need to keep muting the that tab again.

@leocg Why should it not be kept between sessions/restarts?
Seems like this would be a good feature to have in opera.I have some websites permanently on a pin tabs which gets restored after each time I restart opera or my pc.
The problem is those website either has some video or ads or just some general events that produce annoying sounds (e.g. pings/beeps) or playing really loud ads/videos etc..Now each time I get a shock when those tabs start playing the sound unexpectedly
I need to find which tab it was and mute the tab again.Where in settings do you go to block the sound per site?
This seems a lot more complex than doing it via a simple right click > mute tab.BTW chrome does remember the tabs that were muted between sessions
so maybe this would be good feature to add to opera as well.
It is much easier and natural for the end user to right click > mute a tab then what you are proposing with doing it via settings. I can't even find the settings you suggested. -

@leocg i just check the methods you suggested
and there is no sound settingI tried search for the words :
-sound
-audionothing turns up
please have a look yourself and post a screenshot if you find it.
Even your previous answer indicates there is no such setting, so mute tab is the option from what I see.
https://forums.opera.com/topic/20640/disabling-audio-and-sounds-in-opera/3also where can i go to add a feature request?

@leocg said in Opera does not save mute tab/site setting after a restarting opera.:
opera://settings/content/sound
I just tested it now and for some reason it is not showing anything
also try typing in the word "sound" in the search bar
shows no resultswhy is opera hiding the sound settings?

@tylerdurden404 Here, typing sound on the search field at the settings page led me to site settings, where that section can be found.
If you haven't added anything to it, then you really should see nothing listed. You need to add the site that you don't want to play sounds to the Mute list.
