Every time I go to https://addons.opera.com/extensions?hl=en-US, it keeps just loading forever. Here is a gif and a photo: https://gyazo.com/8c6feeba3ae92194bb39bb1c2a696b9e

It just keeps loading forever, then tells me it took too long to respond.

Does it load find if you open it in a private window? What if you disable all your extensions? I see VPN is not on, but try disabling it in settings just to test if that's causing the problem.

Loads fine for me in USA.

I disabled all my extensions, and I turned off VPN, but I don't understand what you mean by private window

An error occurred when installing the extension: Could not install package: 'COULD_NOT_CREATE_TEMP_DIRECTORY.

This is the msg I am receiving while trying to install a simple calculator for the sidebar... Is that much to ask

@bador said in Extension store not working:

I don't understand what you mean by private window

"Menu -> New Private Window" or Ctrl + shift + n. Browsing data in a private window is deleted when you close the window. Also, by default, extensions don't run in private windows. So, testing in a private window can help sometimes.

Still doesn't work even after I open a private window.

                      @bador 😞

Okay. Download the Opera installer, launch it, click "options", set "install path" to a folder named "OperaTest" on your desktop, set "install for" to "standalone installation", uncheck "import data from default browser" and install. Test in that Opera. Do not enable VPN, the ad blocker or Opera Sync in it. Also, do not install any extensions.

                      Does it work fine there?

Can I do that with the offline installer? Since the online installer wasn't working for me but I checked another topic and it said I had to download the offline installer, luckily that worked. But can I do all of that in the offline installer?

@leocg If I open anything inside the extension store or even the main page It just loads forever. Like I can't open any page if it's the extension store. Every other page works fine, except the extension store for opera

@bador Then check if there isn't any software in your computer blocking it. Check also your network.

In addition to checking your security software to see if it's interfering, you can check some things to make sure you're not infected with anything.

Goto "Internet Options" in Windows. On the "Connections" tab, click "LAN settings". Make sure "Automatically detect settings", "Use automatic configuratio script" and "Use a proxy server..." are all unchecked.

In Windows Explorer, goto "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc", double-left-click on the "hosts" file and choose to open it with Notepad. Make sure that there are no non-blank lines that do not begin with '#'. As in, make sure there are no active entries (except for 127.0.0.1 localhost if you're on WinXP).

In Windows, goto "Network and Sharing Center" and click on "Change adapter settings". Then, right-click on the adapter you're currently using and click "properties". Under the "Networking" tab in properties, double-left-click on TCP/IPv6 and make sure "Obtain automatically" is set for both IP and DNS. Repeat for TCPIPv4.

Download the free version of Malwarebytes (when/after installing, choose to use the 14-day premium trial) and scan your computer with it.

Do the same with Adwcleaner just for good measure.

You can uninstall Adwcleaner and Malwarebytes when you're done with them if you want.

In Firefox, goto the URL about:preferences#general and click on "Network Settings" at the bottom (or search for it). in there, set "No proxy" and ok out. Also, make sure you have no extensions in about:addons. Then, see if that helps things work in Firefox. If it does, then it's probably an issue with the Internet Options proxy setting.
