Sidebar color

I'm really disappointed with this change as well. Black sidebar was giving such a unique look to Opera and now they removed it. Not cool at all. Devs! Could you at least give us an option to change the colour to black again? Pretty please!

@leocg I know, but it's still ugly. I'm pretty sure it's not that hard to make it able to change to different colors for itself.

I strongly agree that the present background colour system is not good. The black background of the side bar was much better.

I completely agree. Now there is no quick differentiation between the side bar and the main window. And I can't stand the all black theme. If Opera doesn't change this soon I will simply use Chrome from now on. Does anyone from Opera read these forums?

Same here. I really liked the dark of the side bar, but not the WHOLE browser. Please give us that option.

What I'm seeing is the sidebar in grey, but the top of the window in plum purple. This looks awful and intrusive, especially when viewing a page in clashing colours.
Black and white may be boring, but they go with anything. This is an assault to the eyes. -

I understand that it is very hard to make happy all Opera users. I found this thread where someone demands to dev team to make present behaviour. It is mean black sidebar only with black theme and light sidebar only with the light theme. Now, when it is done someone of us wants to return back origin colour system.
So I solved it that I downgrade my Opera to 58 version and I am satisfied.I really like this design ↓.
