Hello everyone! How can I block intrusive Opera Extensions from accessing MY personal data on all websites?
Why does Opera allow Extensions in the 1st place to collect our private data????How can I block Opera Extension from collecting my data for whatever purpose ???
Thank you!

What makes you think that Opera extensions are collecting private data? If you mean the checkboxes in the extensions list, you can uncheck them.

In the news https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2019/07/dataspii-technical-deep-dive/
It seems to me there should be a permission we can set that can prevent an extension from sending data to any website: without this many extensions can harvest our data and compromise our privacy.
Why is this permission not a standard obvious thing to include do you think?

@jamesconstance In the extensions details you can set if it will be able to access data on all sites or just in specific ones.

Unfortunately, a lot of extensions cannot work without interacting with websites and sending data to websites.
In the mentioned case users have agreed to the data collection/data transfer as far as I understand it. Only the sale of the data to third parties was not (sufficiently) disclosed.
In my opinion, the problem lies in insufficient checking of extensions before web browser publishers put them in their add-ons catalog, but also in too much carelessness on the part of users in dealing with their approvals.
