I have the same problem, but I don't get that error message, as I am still connected, but NO PAGES WILL OPEN WHEN VPN IS ON....

@stevencee Well, I just quit Opera, sat back as it normally takes 5 or 10 minutes to close, if it even will. But this time, it sat there a while, then many of the windows closed, and a minute later it just popped back open on its own!! And then I put the VPN on, and at least now sites will open.... definitely a buggy Opera at the moment.

@leocg Well maybe I'd be less prone to "shout" if Opera simply worked as it is supposed to. Not losing all my open windows and tabs, when I updated, or taking forever to close, to the point, the windows are all shut but it still sits "unresponsive" and I must force quit it, almost all the time... and it won't play streaming video from some sites, like HULU....

I have just tried closing, reopening, shutting down all programs and doing a restart,

still no internet with VPM on.

@nevnrita I have just attempted just now and after about 5-7 seconds, when I thought the did not find screen was going to appear, It worked. thanks,

I'm having the same problem for the last 2 days. Even tried a restart and no change.
