Totally turn off useless newsfeed

Is there any way to totally turn off the news feed? Its annoying and totally useless. I just updated the deed and saw a story about how the midterm elections WILL turn out. They were a month ago! Another was about Attorney General Jeff Sessions doing something, and he was fired over a month ago.

I turned off all but the For Yoi tab but it won't go away.

Opera should just do away with the feed if they're not going to maintain it. It should be embarrassing to be so our of date!

Never saw that 'For You' tab, are we talking about Opera for Android?

You can disable the news feed in Settings > Home Page > News > Off

Thanks. That option under News said reader mode, language, interests" and I was afraid it would turn off reader mode which is why I use Opera in the first place.

And yes, the For You tab is the leftmost news tab in Opera for Android.
