Opera intermittently slow/won't load. Edge working fine.

I've been using Opera for about 10 years and this is the first time I've really ran across a problem.
Currently using Opera 56.0.3051.52 on Windows 10 (most current version) on an i7. The problem I'm running into is that I periodically get the
'This site can't be reached' landing page. I'd say it's about 50% of the time, and the pages seem to be running slow.Clicking on the "Running Windows Network Diagnostics" reveals no problems. I've added Opera as an exception in my Windows defender firewall.
I've also tried both checking and unchecking the 'Automatically detect settings' box in the Settings -> Internet Properties-> Connections -> LAN Settings.
The weird thing is, Edge and Firefox run fine on this PC, snappy, fast (albeit much less pleasant to use than opera). I've also got two other PCs in the home that seem to be running Opera fine.
Any help or suggestions? I can't figure out the issue for the life of me.
Thanks,

Chrome behaves in the same way, with Edge/FF working I'm guessing it's something in the Opera/Chromium settings, but just can't figure it out

@burnout426 Originally when I ran into the problem yes. I've tried a fresh install of W10 and it's currently up to date and I'm still having the issue though.

The reason I ask is your issue sounds a lot like https://forums.opera.com/topic/29060/after-1803-and-1809-windows-update-opera-dont-load-web-pages/.

@burnout426 Yeah, sounds similar, but so far none of those solutions are working. Tried clearing my Opera Appdata folders, the TCP resets, network reset etc. Nothing making Opera (or chrome/chromium) work consistently. I might get 1/10 sessions with opera to load pages. I'm not crazy about making Firefox my go to browser, but at this point I'm not sure I'll get opera working.
