Opera Version:56.0.3051.43
I haven't seen such notification windows with any other browser.
Some weeks ago there started to appear small notification windows in right bottom corner - mostly kind of adds.
My first reaction was malware or virus but this doesn't appear to be the problem.
When clicking in this small windows settings icon - it opens Opera settings, block adds in upper position.
I have switched blocking on, cleared exceptions but these notifications still continue to appear.Any idea how to stop this Opera behavior?

These started 2 weeks ago but when I restarted PC this stopped.
Appeared today again.
Now in several notifications reads also in small caps "apk-dl.com".
I visited this site before this problem.
With google I couldn't found any Win 7 realated prob descriptions. -

@leocg Hello
Block notifications has been always enabled (= notifications disabled)
I have also Chrome and MSIE running but notifications are notifications appear only in Opera.
This advertisment in Notification windows has small cogwheel icon for settings. Clicking to this icon opens Opera settings:Block ads
Block ads and surf the web up to three times faster Learn moreManage exceptions
Manage listsIf it's only Opera related malware, is there any suggestions how to find it?
I have Norton Internet Security running, which doesn't found any malware.

Goto the URL
opera://extensions
. What extensions do you have there?Go back to
opera://settings/content/notifications
. Did anything get added back in after you removed it? If so, does it have a cube to the right of it? If so, that means it was added by an extension.Check your Opera shortcuts and pinned icons properties to make sure they're actually point to "C:\Program Files\Opera\launcher.exe". Maybe the Opera shortcuts are launching some malware and then Opera.
Download the Opera installer, launch it, click "options", set "install path" to a folder on your desktop, set "install for" to "standalone installation" and install. Test in that Opera. Does it happen there? If not, it's probably an issue in your normal Opera profile or something with Opera's program files.

@burnout426 said in Opera notifications can't be stopped:
opera://extensions
There are following extensions:
-
Bulk Media Downloader
Version 0.2.1 by inbasic -
Video Downloader GetThemAll
Version 1.5.2 by NimbusWeb -
Opera Ad Blocker
Version 56.0.3051.43
Block ads and surf the web up to three times faster.
I believe 1&2 I have installed myself some 6 month ago.
opera://settings/content/notifications
There opens list I couldn't found from settings.- "Ask before sending (recommended)" - Enabled
listed some sites - "Allow" - containing list of obscure sites I don't know or I don't expect any alerts from, including the one in this thread.
And no option to remove these all at once.
Why and how do these appear there?
How to block creating of this unwanted list?

@oberator said in Opera notifications can't be stopped:
So, that's probably the entry that's allowing those notifications. But, as said, remove all in the allow list and then only accept the ones you want. If you never want to accept any, after you clear the list, turn off "ask". It's means notifications will be blocked by default.
And no option to remove these all at once.
No. You have to remove them one by one.
Why and how do these appear there?
A site will pop up a dialog asking you if you want to allow notifications. If you okay it, the site will be added the site will then be able to pop up notifications on you without asking. Never allow these or totally disable it as mentioned above.

Thanks to all. i believe this not so easy to find list fixed my problem.
Things have got worse after GDPR.
When working hard searching solution for some technical problem with Google, it doesn't feel like being eager to read all of these tens of pop up windows asking to accept GDPR, cookies or something else, like notifications now.
