Why in opera 56 removed the support of "VR player 360", which was in the 55th version of the opera?

I've not used Opera before but just downloaded it and then came here to try and find out why it doesn't seem to be working with my Oculus rift. The button 'Watch in VR' that is supposed to appear on 360 videos on places like youtube is nowhere to be seen.
Is this because something has gone wrong in Opera 56 like PP seems to think, or maybe to do with the recent Oculus update to Rift Core 2.0? Anyone know?

This is a bug of the latest version of Opera 56 only!
in Opera 55 all works fine!!!
You can download opera_55_installer.exe and install choose USB folder
for example from here

He's not wrong though. I just came here to post the same, but I got my version from Opera:

I'm not sure if it's really a bug though as neither beta 57 or developer 58 have the VR functionality either - very odd.
Now I just need to find out how to stop 55 automatically updating to version 56

just delete J:\Opera\55.0.2994.37\opera_autoupdate.exe

They didn't remove VR support, you just have to activate it in opera://flags/.
