Why web sites think I am in America when I am in Europe? Am I being hacked or spied by Opera?

There is something with Opera for Android. Whenever I visit sites like Amazon, it believes I am in the USA and says "this product cannot be sent to the US". For instance. Every site I visit thinks I am in America, I am in Spain and if I check my IP on www,tracemyip.org it shows my IP and country Spain.

What is wrong with Opera??? Its scary, I am being hacked, spied or something??

I have uninstalled Opera and reset my phone and it is always the same.

      Please explain Opera crew.

Do you have data savings enabled by chance?

So, that's your answer. You are connecting through an Opera server that compress the data so you can save your bandwidth.

@leocg Oh ok, it worked. I was back in Spain in Amazon when disabled data saving.

              Its not dangerous then?

              Many thanks
