News feeds icon in address bar gone

Hello,
The context menu for the news feeds icon in the address bar option included the ability to hide the icon. I clicked on it and now the icon is gone with no option to return it. Even enabling and disabling it in "Personal news" section of Opera preferences does not do anything. Please fix this.
I realize that under the hood this is just a Chrome-like extension, since Chrome also has extensions that put icons in the address bar, but one can restore the icons via extensions menu. Opera's extension menu doesn't have the news feed subscription extension, however.

UPDATE: The icon was restored once I performed "Recovery" via main menu. This shouldn't be the only way to get the icon back...
