Re: Instant search — change search engine

Hello! I am unsure if I understand this feature. I love the Instant Search feature, however I recently switched from Google to DuckDuckGo (DDG). However, Instant Search is still using Google and it is annoying as I prefer DDG. How long will it take for Instant Search to catch on if ever? There are no settings available it seems to fix this. I found the referenced thread, but I dont quite understand the answer.

Then how do I fix it? Because it is still using Google as the Instant Search search engine when the Search Engine that Opera defaults to everywhere else is now DuckDuckGo.
How long before it changes?

As clearly said on that topic, it won't change because it uses the same search engine of the start page, that can't be changed.
if you want to use a different search engine with instant search, you need to use a keyword.

So my start page is still using Google even though it says it is completely switched to using DuckDuckGo? What is the point of Instant Search if the search engine cant be changed in any way?
