Hello,

I've done a Windows update recently - currently Windows 10 Enterprise edition, version 1703, build 15063.483. Since then, it's impossible to launch Opera through launcher.exe - the error is:

I've googled a lot of possible solutions, nothing works

• folder access is OK
• clean profile doesn't help
• reinstallation is impossible - installer throws error "Unable to create folder"

I'm local admin, I can install whatever application. If I run directly from folder version opera.exe, it works fine (C:\Program Files\Opera\54.0.2952.64).

Any solution tips?

Did you try run the installer as admin?

Download and install the portable version and see if it works.

@leocg portable version downloaded/installed into my user dir works properly. Now I don't really know whether it's a solution of a problem I have now installed portable Opera version and classic version, which I'm unable to uninstall.

Download the offline installer, change the installation path to something like c:/opera and see if it works.
