      @burnout426 I just did and it's not working. And I realize it doesn't work with Vivaldi either, it only works from Firefox. I don't understand. 😞

        In the proxy settings, try disabling the option for automatic detection.

              Firefox uses its own network stack instead of the system's. Chromium browsers like Chrome, Opera and Vivaldi use the system's. IE and Edge should use the system's too. That points towards something in Windows being the issue.

              Open "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\HOSTS" in a text editor. What's it look like?

              In "Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections" (as in, "Start -> Settings -> Network and Internet -> the connect you're using -> change adapter settings"), right-click on the adapter you're using and goto "properties". In the properties on the Network tab, check the properties for both IPv4 and IPv6 and make sure IP address and DNS are set to "automatically". If they are, you could try some free DNS servers listed at https://www.lifewire.com/free-and-public-dns-servers-2626062 to see if that makes any difference. You could also test to see if it's a DNS issue by getting the IP addresses of some sites and entering them into Opera's address field to see how fast the pages load that way.

              In internet options in the control panel, on the connections tab, in addition to unchecking "automatically detect settings", make sure "use a proxy server" isn't set if you didn't already check that part.

              You could try AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes to see if they find anything.

              Although you shouldn't have to, you could defrag your hard drive. WinXP had an issue sometimes where after a service pack update, all the network stuff would take forever to load on startup, where a defrag would fix it. Not exactly the same thing, but something you could try if not using an SSD. You could uninstall and reinstall your drivers for your wifi card or LAN card. You could try to find newer drivers too. But, not sure how much that'd since Firefox works fine. But, you can try.

              You could use CrystalDiskInfo to make sure your hard drive isn't failing and possibly corrupting things.

              You could reset the firewall settings if you didn't already.

              I assume you've shut your system all the way down and started it back up again just for good measure?

                Since Opera is based on Chromium like Chrome, you can search the net for this issue in Chrome.

                  @burnout426 I've already tried all that and the problem continues. I have Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1803 installed on an SSD. The system is newly installed, I have disabled the IPv6 configuration and restarted the computer, the CrystalDisk Info does not mark any problem with the SSD, I ran the antivirus and the MalwareBytes did not find any threats. I still haven't solved the problem. 😢

                        Finally I solved it with the most radical way, formatting the SSD and installing the system from 0 (Fall Creators Update), since I installed the previous version (Creators Update) that was later updated to the last one from Windows Update.

                        So far it's working well. I hope it stays that way. Thank you all for your help.

                          @cesaraquino Glad you got it working. Could you rephrase that though? Are you saying that before, you installed the Creators Update first and then upgraded to the Fall Creators update, and this time you just installed the Fall Creators Update directly/fresh?

                            @burnout426 Yes, I first installed Creators Update from a DVD that I had saved somewhere else, and while installing other programs it was updated to Fall Creators Update, so I assume that was the problem. And when I couldn't find a solution, I downloaded Fall Creators Update to a USB stick and made a clean installation. After I finished installing Windows I made sure to disable IPv6 in the network properties and disabled the option to automatically detect in the proxy settings. Finally I installed Opera and started to try out the pages that were giving me problems and they worked correctly.

                            I know it was a desperate move, but as I could not find a solution, I had no choice but to do so. I don't know if it's the definitive solution but it worked for me. Still, I appreciate your help.
