Websites demanding "ALLOW COOKIES"

New to Opera, new to these forums so please excuse if the above topic already covered [SEARCH would not discover it]

Question is very simple:
Almost every website now dangles an annoying dialogue in front of everything saying stuff like "This site uses cookies - hit ALLOW COOKIES to continue"
What should we do?
If we do "ALLOW COOKIES" will Opera override that option?

This is a mandatory message that all sites have to show, forced from the EU, also known as the gdpr cookie policy.
It is not the browser's fault or some wrong setting, so do not worry.

If you block cookies or allow cookies, all sites based in the EU will show you that message.
