Whatsapp not working with .gif

when ever i try to send a gif it is only shown as a still image
when i send it as document its kind of "working" - i can download the file and then see it in galery - but not in Whatsapp itself

any way to fix this?

When you say not working, you mean in the sidebar or the actual site?

Hi, it happens to me as well, even the videos didn't play.
This is in the sidebar.
