Anyone know if I can use Operamail from download free of charge without getting involved in Fastmail charges?

@juliandd Operamail, the old (free?) email service, no longer exists. Opera Mail, the email client software, has always been free and can be used with any email service. Just be in mind that it stopped being developed years ago.

@leocg Ok thanks I have been using my Operamail name for many years but I am getting emails from Fastmail saying that I now need to pay to continue using it. I have downloaded Opera Mail email client so I guess I can use this with my old Operamail name for the foreseeable future?

@juliandd One thing is not related to the other.
Opera Mail, the email client, allows you to access your email account as long as your email service uses POP or IMAP. If you will need to pay to use your email service or not is something you need to discuss with them and don't depend on the software you are using to read and send your emails.

Operamail, the mail service, is owned by Fastmail since a long time and only they can say if you will need to pay or not.
