@dialex91 See https://forums.opera.com/topic/23068/instructions-on-posting-about-problems-in-opera-for-computers
Where is it installed? Maybe the device is facing issues?

Remove all content from the drive to a regular hard drive. Then, copy it back. Before you copy it back though, if the drive isn't formatted as NTFS, do that first. Even if it is already formatted as NTFS, formatting it again (even though it's solid state).
Doing that might speed things up for a while on the drive.

The portable version is the same exact version (same files and everything) as the regular version. It just uses different paths for the profile files. It's probably just not a fast enough drive for Opera (and other Chromium-based browsers).
Try opening up a private window, closing the regular window and just browsing in private mode for a bit. Is Opera any faster that way. If so, you can create a shortcut to launcher.exe on the drive with options that disable disk cache. That might then help things in regular mode.
You could also see if you can find a faster, USB 2.0/3.0/3.1 pen drive that supports faster read and write speeds. Of course, speeds will vary with speed of port you're plugged into at the time.
