      Hello,

I'm wanting to know if there is a way to customize the Opera browser and remove/hide the "News" tab from the New Tab page and drop down Menu.

This looks like the only thing keeping me from using Opera, thanks.

You can't remove it from the drop down menu, but you can remove if from the New Tab/Speed Dial page by clicking on the settings cogwheel at the top right and un-checking "News".
This moves News to the menu buttons at the top left, where it can be opened as a separate page.
        🙂

I want to remove it, not just simply move it.

Oh well, the new Opera looks nifty but I will just stay with Chrome.

I guess what I was asking is if there was a hack on removing it, or maybe I overlooked something.

As said, you can't remove it.

                  Yes you can.

If you are saying that, then why are you asking how to do it?
