Sidebar is gone and there is a weird Menu tab

I've lost the Opera sidebar which I just loved, especially the screenshot feature.
There is also a weird menu tab or whatever that bugs me but the sidebar is my main upset for today.

What do you call a menu tab? - Where the 'O' is on the top left corner. It just used to be the 'O' but now it's like a small tab.

@loopy1945 I'm still wondering how did you manage to remove it even from start page.

In settings, can you pin the sidebar? What happens?

Well I figured it out. At the bottom of the sidebar is an icon! and I must have hit that somehow or other.
I uninstalled Opera and downloaded and reinstalled the newest version and there was the sidebar. I got curious and hit that icon and it disappeared so now I know. I guess we learn something new every day

@loopy1945 Even with the sidebar un pinned, you should have seen it on start page.
