Is there a shortcut to enable VPN other than having to click Settings/Privacy & Security/Enable VPN??

Or let me ask this then. If I enable the VPN in the settings and I click on the VPN icon on the left of the google search bar, and turn it off from there, will VPN be off? If I have VPN turned on in the settings and turn it off using the mouse to click on the VPN icon and turn it off there, is that the same as if I have VPN turned off in the settings?

      Thanks

I use the VPN icon on the address bar to turn it on or off all the time. Does this not work for you?

Yes it does, but what I am curious about is if you use the VPN icon on the address bar is that exactly the same as having VPN turned off and on in the Settings area? If so then I can have VPN turned ON all the time via Settings and then toggle it on and off via the icon. That way I can open and shut down Opera without ever having to enter the Settings area to regulate VPN at all.

@bbildman ... In Settings, I have VPN enabled.

Then I toggle the VPN icon (on the address bar), as required. Works perfectly.
