Clicking on Google search results only gets me to top of page

After typing my request into Google search engine, unless I hit one of the top results first, all I get is top of page..very frustrating.

Do you block something or do you use some extension(s) managing how pages should appear?
Check that results page's source code, by the way: you might try comparing it to the same one with another browser - providing it's all right there.

Firstly to hell with you clowns for making the login to add a simple comment so pedantic. It's not like I'm logging into a secret CIA website with hi level top secret info. Goodness!! What a pain in the ass.
OK What on earth have you done with the Opera Browser? I've used it for years. It only happens with Opera, and only seems to be Google. At first I thought this is something to do with Google; maybe they hate the competition and want to destroy Opera. Every time I do a Google search I have to cut and paste the search URL and put it in Chrome or Mozilla. Searching on Opera means just jumping to the top of the page.
Opera is all but unusable with Google.I just want to delete the latest version of Opera and go back to V10 or something.
This happens on all my PC's so isn't PC specific. It is browser specific. Doesn't happen with Chrome or Mozilla, which is why I assumed it was some conspiracy involving Google. Now I just think you guys screwed up. -

You would be amazed at the amount of spam we get on this little board. Also, right back at you.

I know you like to just blame others for things but as most others aren't having the problem the only common element is you. Do you have any extensions loaded? Virus scanners? Are you connecting through a firewall (a real firewall like a Sophos or Sonicwall)? Is Opera Turbo enabled?
