VPN is also not connecting in Germany and Austria... This seems to be a large-scale Problem!

The problem was resolved by itself !, VPN itself was connected,
conclusion: nothing was necessary to do, for the prevention could be updated or just wait, where the news flashed that there are technical problems on the side of the service providing the VPN

NO it has had problems and once again not working. i suggest you add browsec as a backup for when the builtin vpn isn't working.

There is an update for Opera 49 bringing the new VPN to stable channel. Try installing it and check if the problems get solved.

yea i just tried to get the 49.0.2725.56 and no luck.

Opera > Preferences > Privacy & Security > Cookies > Cookies 3d parties > check > uncheck > VPN works ( for me )

the new update solved the VPN issue.

downloaded the latest installer and updated the current version
could not find the option
"Bypass VPN for default search engines" which was available in latest developer version

Ive got v.50 and had the same problem but somehow by luck i found a solution or at least partial. Right click on the screen anywhere select Add to speed dial and presto its worked for me on the site i was trying to get on, it didn't work for my homepage but i have not added that to speed dial, but try it and see what happens
