      Hey guys.
Full screen ads are against Google Play rules.
I've used the link below to denounce it to Google:
      https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/contact/takedown
I hope they will force Opera to do the right thing.

I've never posted twice the same message on the same topic, but on topics on the same subject. Is this how you guys decide to threat a customer? So we can't speak out politely against your the worst decision ever?

@sandroklostermann you can criticize Opera aa long as you follow the forum rules and you violated them when you started spamming the same post several times.

BTW, this conversation is off topic and also against the rules.

@sandroklostermann Well spotted. I have only saw the headline about banning ads on the lockscreen.

@leocg We are talking about the recent introduction of fullscreen advertising in Opera so it's not that far off topic. If you feel it would be better to split this discussion into a new thread, please do so but make sure to give it an appropriate Topic heading. I cannot think of one that take the subject seriously enough but at the same time does not sound like we are trolling.

I couldn't find anything on those Play Store rules on ads that can be used against Mini ads.

@leocg From memory, Opera Mini's fullscreen ads required user to wait 3 seconds before it disappeared. There was no close button to dismiss it.

Ads that take up the entire screen or interfere with normal use and do not provide a clear means to dismiss the ad:

BTW, the mobile UI for this forum is pretty awesome. I would drop the floating red button. It's hiding texts I'm typing.

@jaron It doesn't clearly say that the ad can't have a time to go away. That rule seems to aim those ads that can't be dismissed without the user opening them.

Dismiss the ad. We don't have a way to dismiss it. We have to wait the countdown. It is clear!

We should report it to google and let them decide it. I'm not sure if I were at Opera, if I would take the chance.

@sandroklostermann At least we will know why if we see Opera Mini disappear the Play Store. (See what happened with UC Browser.)

@sandroklostermann Dismiss the ad doesn't necessarily means to manually dismiss it.

@jaron Maybe time will show that I'm wrong but I really think that the chances of anything happen to Opera Mini because of it is almost zero.

You guys are sure from your side. We customers are sure from our side that this ruins the experience. I've uninstalled it, even thinking that it is a great browser. That is under my control. For the ads, we will let google decide, but the dommage is already made we you will lose users anyway. Have you guys read the recent reviews?

What I don't get is why people just don't go use another browser if Opera Mini no longer fits their needs. There are lots of options out there like Opera for Android, Firefox, Chrome, etc.

Because we loved it before the annoying ads. I even suggested paying to remove them. But this last comment sounds like the company doesn't give a blip about the feedback.
