Simplify the search through the address bar

I have noticed that clicking/selecting a search engine in the address bar after inserting a keyword doesn't immediately start the search (see image posted below): I have to press ENTER to actually start it: is it anexpected behaviour? Wouldn't be much quicker / easier to automatically start a search with the selected search engine when you click on it?

Yes, I just wanted to be sure that I wasn't missing some option to change this behaviour. I'll try to post this as a suggestion in the other forum!
