I'm trying Opera to see if it doesnt have the bug with casing that I see in Chrome (audio dies after 18 minutes castin tab or screen)..
The beta Opera 50 is supposed to support chroomecast, and is supposed to be enabled in the settings->browser->user interface section..

I dont have that selection there.. fresh load of opera, did a restore defaults on opera://flags.. no luck

Does someone know the magic to help me?
target machine is W8.1 coreI7 type

That feature has geographic limitations so maybe you are on a place where it's not available?

@mike-winslow I don't know the places where it's not available, just that there are geographic restrictions as said on the link I've posted.

If the feature is not available in the US, for example, then you will not see the settings to activate it.

@leocg I didnt see anything in the beta about casting restrictions.. Did I miss something ? Tell me - someone in the US - Do you see an enable cast in settings?
There's no reason to limit here in the US, that's crazy. I still dont see that as an answer..

@mike-winslow As I said, the info is in the comment by an Opera employee that I linked.

The restriction may be a limitation of the license.

@leocg that was chromecast and linux, and 51 not 50..

Noting in the release announcement to indicate any restriction..

So leo, or anyone in the US - when you go into settings->browser->user interface, do you have an enable chromecast checkbox or not? I cant believe that I'm the only one in the US to try a feature put into the public nearly a month ago..

I am running chromecast using this browser preety easily from the settings area. Possibly you need to uninstall opera clean the app data and then install it. Once you do that i hope there will be no issue. To stream media you can get help from here:-
