How do I remove Google Search Bar in Speed Dial?

I just switched to Opera so I can omit Google from my life, and now I can't figure out how to remove that large annoying search bar from my Speed Dial page. First, I don't want a search bar, since I just like to type in the address bar. Second, I don't want to use Google if have a choice. I've searched and all I find are posts from 2013. Also, How do I find the Power User setting? I've seen that this could be a way to remove this, but I cannot find the path to get there. New user here.

On the menu go to Settings. In the sidebar, click on the option to show "Advanced" settings. Click on the Browser section, and scroll down to "Start Page". Select "Hide Search box".
